How much is a soul worth? How much would you give up to revive a loved one? Losing a loved one can make us do things without thinking. The repercussions of our actions can be the death of us. FAMB grants its viewers with much-needed wise philosophy on life and death. It explores the idea of how much is a soul worth and if there is an afterlife?

This anime revolves around a parallel world of ours. However, this world’s technological advancements and achievements revolve around the usage of alchemy. According to Webster, “Alchemy was a medieval chemical science and speculative philosophy aiming to achieve the transmutation of the base metals into gold.”

Alchemy is basically science so, they must do extensive reading and practice. So, characters use alchemy for their teleological advancements, military, and everyday life. What is amazing about this power system is that normal citizens could use alchemy.

How alchemy works in this world is with transmutation circles and equivalent exchange. One can not get gold out of cow manure because both items are not an equivalent exchange. So what is the equivalent exchange for the human soul?

Do watch the Orginal, “Fullmetal Alchemist” as to how it delivers an alternative ending and a movie.

Big brain and cultured individuals like myself do consider FMAB to be the perfect anime. The hype is real and well reserved for this anime. The core plot, music, and powerful themes it tackles are some of the reasons it has reigned number one in MAL. The die-hard FAMB simps are also the reason it remains number one.

The anime can be a rollercoaster of emotions as to how unexpected deaths and truths are revealed. It is quite entertaining for first-time anime watchers or something to watch with a partner. Cultured individuals who rewatch it can for sure spot small foreshadowing and hints of the truth hidden in plain sight.
